The country’s most elite business school Indian Institute of Management-Ahmedabad started its final placement process on Tuesday for the post-graduate programme class of 2021.
Regular recruiters like Accenture, American Express, Arthur D. Little, Avendus, Bain & Co., Boston Consulting Group, Citi, Credit Suisse, Goldman Sachs, IBM and KPMG were among the firms in the first cluster that offered jobs to its management graduates, IIM-A said in a statement.
IIM-A has created three clusters comprising multiple cohorts of companies offering similar profiles to candidates.
Cluster 1 comprised of four cohorts—investment banking and markets, management consulting, advisory consulting, and private equity, venture capital and asset management.
Boston Consulting Group made the highest number of offers at 32, followed by McKinsey at 30 in the first cluster. “Consulting firms, offering management consulting roles across geographies, including Middle East, continue to hire in large numbers.”
The next cluster is scheduled for March 5, while the third cluster is slated for March 8. The institute will follow a rolling process after that, if necessary.
The institute, like other IIMs in the country, is conducting a completely virtual placement process this year.
IIM-Bangalore, IIM-Lucknow and IIM-Kozhikode are among those who have already completed their placements process. All three first-generation IIMs recorded 100% placements.
