EDTEX provides Automation Software Products to around 25 Premier Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in India and aims to expand this number to 100 within the next two years. To support this growth, EDTEX is expanding its Product Management team. This presents a fantastic opportunity for MBA graduates to join a rapidly growing ed-tech startup and work closely with the founders, thereby making a significant impact on their careers.

Role and Responsibilities

This is a cross-functional and customer-facing role. The Product Manager is expected to work with multiple customers and multiple projects at the same time. The responsibilities are broadly categorized into the following categories‍

Product Management

• Coming up with the right features for the customers by regularly engaging with the customers and taking feedback from Sales and Onboarding teams
• Building, owning, and delivering Product road map by working with Engineering, QA, Design and S&M teams
• Able to build Wireframes and work with Design teams
• Product Demos with the Customers
• Product Documentation
• Setting up priorities for Engineering and other Functional teams
• Building Quarterly and Yearly Plans for the Product

Product Onboarding

• Develop a Product Onboarding plan
• Handle Critical or Complex Product Onboarding
• Understanding Customer Requirements
• Building Process flow diagrams

Project Management

• Building a Project plan & Regular Communication on Status (for critical projects)
• Managing the expectations of the Customer (concerning Timelines and Scope)
• Negotiation with Clients on the features and timelines
• Issue Triaging

Risk management

• Identifying the risks proactively and mitigating the same by taking appropriate steps

Planning and Strategic Execution

• PM is expected to execute multiple projects at the same time
• PM needs to work with Engineering Leads, Design, and QA team to ensure all the projects are delivered on time with quality

Stakeholder Management

• As Product Manager, you will work with the Engineering Team, QC Team, Design Team, Sales Team, and Customers. You need to set and meet the expectations of each of the stakeholders

Crisis Management

• The inevitable part of startups is the crisis that we land into even after doing several things right. During my last 7 years, we ran into several of them and came out with fantastic learnings. Your job is be calm in such situations and handle the crisis mindfully with the support of the team.
